Women in the Wilderness - Hiking/Snowshoe Adventures (Fall-November)
Explore the Bitterroot Trails in winter! Boldly venture into the Bitterroot Mountains in winter conditions utilizing winter hiking boots, cleats and snowshoes! There might even be a warm cup of hot chocolate or tea involved! This course is designed for women who can already hike at a moderate pace. We will be covering 10 essentials, trekking pole use, use of boot cleats and snowshoes and staying safe, healthy and warm in winter conditions. For safety reasons, the class is not designed for partial hikes, so plan to stay with the group for the entire 3 hours. Backpack with ten essentials is required. No dogs.
**Snowshoes and poles are available to check out from the Corvallis School District for this class. IF YOU NEED SNOWSHOES, PLEASE CONTACT 406.961.3201 TO CHECK OUT A PAIR FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE.
