Bitterroot Trails - Thursday (Summer 2026) SESSION 1

This class is for advanced hikers who want to improve their fitness level while safely exploring trails that are fairly popular, open, and accessible this time of year. The hikes will be moderate, varied terrain, including rocky portions, and some steep inclines. For safety reasons, the class is not designed for partial hikes, so plan to stay with the group for the entire 3 hours. Backpack with ten essentials is required. No dogs.

EASY - For novice hikers with little to no experience and fair physical condition.

MODERATE- For experienced hikers able to easily hike 5-8 miles on varied terrain with steady incline or steep portions, good physical condition.

DIFFICULT - For experienced hikers able to easily hike 8-10 miles on varied terrain with steady incline or steep portions, rocky/wet trails, heavy pack, good/excellent physical condition.
